The perfectly formed 'beads' on the Senecio makes this unique succulent a wonderful gift or a nice little treat for yourself.
Each ‘bead’ of the “string-of-beads” plant (Senecio rowleyanus) is actually a succulent, modified leaf. All this low-maintenance house plant requires is a bright space, with plenty of space to spread out or hang down. The dangling stems can grow up to 1.5 m. Your plant may produce white flowers with a sweet vanilla-cinnamon smell. Be sure to position your Senecio away from children and pets.
Succulents can be placed in a sunny or bright window all year round, choose the sunniest south-facing window available for the perfect spot. Succulents need fresh air and particularly need good ventilation during the summer months. All succulents benefit from a complete soaking, until water comes out of the bottom of the pot, wait until the soil is bone dry, before you water them again.
A Sarah Horne botanical vase provides the home for this Senecio succulent, just waiting for you to find the ideal spot in your home. Sarah works with a wonderful company in Stoke On Trent, the world capital of fine bone china, to produce these vases. All china in the collection features Sarah’s beautiful pen and ink illustrations so every recipient receives a gift that keeps on giving. The addition of the vase makes this a very special little succulent.
