How the Victoria House Flower School Works
Once a month the Sarah Horne Flower School takes over the wonderful Regency venue of Victoria House in the heart of Leamington Spa. Each date is a stand alone class, so the group is different every time – some attend every month, some a few times a year and some are attending for the first time.
The class is taught by Sarah Horne. For those of you who don’t know Sarah, she can best be described as a ‘pocket rocket’ with an infectious passion for all things floral! She has a very friendly, relaxed teaching style which makes every class great fun. Sarah holds 3 Chelsea Gold Medals and the title of Chelsea Florist of the Year 2011, so you can be sure to learn oodles!
The classes work equally well for those who have a some experience and those who are first time flower arrangers, as Sarah works with each person to develop their skills. You don’t need to bring anything – all flowers, sundries and tools are provided. Feel free to take notes or photographs throughout the class.
Upon arrival, tea, coffee and homemade cake will be served whilst Sarah demonstrates a design, giving general hints and tips along the way. You will then make your own arrangement using the flowers provided. You can follow Sarah’s design or, if you would like to try something different, Sarah will help you to work on your own creation.
You also get a chance to view and buy from The Sarah Horne Botanicals gift ranges which all feature Sarah’s beautiful fine line illustrations.
